Vietnam's cement export market in the first ten months of 2019

In the first ten months of 2019, Vietnam's cement exports rose 2.6 per cent year on year to 26.9m tonnes.

According to the preliminary statistics of the general administration of customs, in October 2019, Vietnam exported 3.58 million tons of cement, with a revenue of us $141.62 million, an increase of 34.5 percent in volume and 33.6 percent in amount compared with September 2019.Compared with October 2018, the business volume increased by 24.9% and the turnover increased by 17%.

In October 2019, Vietnam's cement export prices dropped 0.7 percent compared with September 2019 and 6.3 percent compared with October 2018, with an average price of us $39.6 / ton.In the first 10 months of 2019, export prices rose 7.7 per cent year-on-year to $41.50 a tonne.

China has been Vietnam's largest market for cement consumption, reaching 11.86 million tons in the first ten months of this year, equivalent to us $4510.2 million, accounting for 44.1% of the total, accounting for 40.4% of the total cement export turnover, up 55.7% and 62.9% year on year. The price also rose 4.7% to us $38.02 / ton.

Southeast Asia is Vietnam's second-largest market for cement consumption, with exports of 5.67 million tons, or us $286.91 million, accounting for 21.1% of Vietnam's cement consumption and 25.7% of total exports.Exports of cement fell 13.9 per cent year on year, while turnover fell 4.9 per cent and prices rose 10.5 per cent to $50.6 a tonne.
